About

You may wonder, “Why have a church specifically for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people?” Most regular churches just do not have the ability, time, or money to focus on the needs of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing in addition to the great ministry provided by their churches. We believe that God has raised up Deaf leaders and churches to meet this great need. God Loves Deaf people too! The Deaf Culture is among the largest unreached peoples groups worldwide. Around the globe Deaf leaders and Churches are springing up.

Potomac Deaf Assembly of God is a Pentecostal Church serving the Deaf communiy in the Washington DC area. We have Sunday Services in Arlington, Virginia.  All of our services are in American Sign language (ASL). Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have voice interpreting for Hearing visitors. At our church there is no limit on what you may do or  become. We have two Deaf Pastors and our Board of Advisors is 100% Deaf. We have services for Deaf Adults and Deaf Teens. Hearing Children of Deaf Parents currently join the Hearing children’s ministries. We are working on providing for Deaf Children.

Potomac Deaf Assembly of God has been ministering in the Washington DC area, under several different names since 1982. In 1997, with the church down to only a few people, it was re-started when Pastor Scott Hobbs came. In 1998 PDAG, adopted it’s current name and became a member of the Potomac District Council of the Assemblies of God.

Potomac Deaf Assembly of God is a member of the National Deaf Culture Fellowship (NF) of the Assemblies of God..
