The 9th annual Mid-Atlantic Deaf Men’s Retreat is coming this weekend. While it’s too late to join now, prepare yourself for next year’s 10th annual Men’s Retreat. Deaf men from Virginia to New England will be there. Each year it has been held at Camp Hebron in Pennsylvania. This year’s theme is “Deaf Men Can Roar!”. What’s that mean? You will have to come to find out!
Potomac Deaf Church gladly welcomes Gallaudet students! We hope you will come visit and make our church your church home while away from home. Please check out our pages for info on who we are, what we believe and teach, and how to get here. We have members from many countries, and all services are in ASL. Our Pastors are Deaf. We understand you. Come worship with us!
On Sunday, May 27th we will have a special visit from our friends in Denmark. Jan and Anne Zachariassen, leaders of the Deaf Christian Fellowship, will be here. They are good friends with Pastors Lene and Scott. We’re really looking forward to this visit and hope you can be there to meet this awesome couple! We will have potluck (pot-blessing) after the service so bring something to share. Email us to find out what we need you to bring.
We will begin a study of the book of Revelations on April 15th at 10:45 am in the Chapel. This is an important study! We will look at each part in detail and also see how other parts of the Bible relate to Revelations. This is much more than just studying end time events. Our goal is to “hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.”
Rev. 1:3 – Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this propecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
During our Annual Meeting last month it was decided to make some changes to our schedule to make Sunday School / Bible Study more of a priority and still keep a priority on Prayer. The planned schedule beginning on April 15th is:

10:45 am – Bible Study*
11:30 am – 1145 am – break
11:45 am – Worship/ Sermon*
*These can be switched if necessary
We hope everyone will arrive for the Study of the Bible at 10:45 am.
Next Weekend Nov 28,2011 and November 29th, 2011. Students from Valley Forge Christian College Deaf Pastoral Studies program will be here to hold youth oriented services (age 30 or under – but all ages welcome).
